I & G Steam Modelling Materials
A very recent addition to the products supplied by I & G Steam is the section on scratch building materials for rolling stock and lineside items which includes spares etc from our major suppliers.
I & G Steam are now carrying a fairly comprehenshive range of wheel sets in two sizes and two gauges manufactured by Accucraft, these are 25mm diameter in gauge 0 (32mm) and gauge 1 (45mm).
Also stocked are 30mm diameter, gauge 1 (45mm) wheelsets from USA Trains. These are available in polished form or chemically blacked.
All of these wheelsets are insulated so the track powered enthusiast can build or modify rolling stock without the worry of power shorts from the wheelsets.
Metal chopper type couplings in round and square head are stocked, manufactured by Accucraft. These couplings are also equipped, as standard, with a hook suitable for use with the "three link chain" favoured by many of the narrow gauge fraternity.
I & G Steam, to match demand have also taken the decision to make available to our customers, the basic timber sections and sheets that we use on our own designed and built RTR rolling stock. Please ask for a detailed list of sizes and prices.
To complement the materials we supply, we stock some suitable adhesives,in smaller quantities for the hobbyist, e.g fast setting PVA and a UV stable oxygen setting synthetic polymer, which is also suitable for our building system.
All four grades of the well known "MILLIPUT" 2-part epoxy modelling putty at competitive prices are available from us.
