I & G Steam Decal products
A very recent introduction to the I & G Steam range is the ability for the enthusiast to make his or her own waterslide decals or transfers on a home computer utilising an injet printer or a laser printer.
Yes, there is a little bit more involved which includes sealing the sheet after printing with spray acrylic varnish (also available from us), but why pay large sums for those odd pieces of artwork when very acceptable results can be achieved with equipment now in most homes. There are other technique materials available as well including material for "rub down" lettering sheets of your own design and decal material for hot pressing (a domestic iron will do the job) transfers on to fabric bases.
Our show stand carries a cloth with our logo to give a real flavour of what is achievable. Always remember however that modern printers do NOT print white but most problems are surmountable with planning and making use of the opaque white sheets which are available as well as clear.
I & G Steam will produce waterslide decals to your own artwork or we can prepare artwork on your behalf. You are able to make a start on your own decals for as little as £1.50 for an A4 sheet. We are occassionally asked to construct "large scale" railway dioramas for corporate display.
This photograph shows what can be achieved with these products. All doors, logos grills etc were made from waterslide decal paper on a standard inkjet printer using normal settings. To improve durability I & G Steam recommend a final spray coat of gloss crystal clear varnish.
